Please note you are purchasing a like-for-like laundry appliance installation package where the washing machine or dryer being replaced and the new washing machine or dryer being installed are of the same type, with no change to the location, size, or increase in the energy supply to the unit.

As part of the Standard Laundry Appliance Installation Scope of Works, the following items will be included in this installation:

• Deliver the new laundry appliance.

• Check the area for existing damage.

• Ensure the new laundry appliance will fit correctly into the existing space.

• Isolate electricity or water supply to existing the laundry appliance.

• Test to ensure it is off.

• Remove and disconnect the old laundry appliance

• Install and connect the new laundry appliance.

• Secure new laundry appliance in place as per manufacturer specifications.

• Restore electricity or water supply to launadry appliance.

• Test all functions are working on the new launadry appliance.

• Basic demo on how to use the new laundry appliance.

• Remove all rubbish and clean work area

I’ve never had a wall-mounted dryer and would like the new dryer to be wall-mounted. Is there anything else I need to have done?

You will need a 10A powerpoint within 1 metre of the dryer installation and ensure the dryer will fit in the position you want it installed.

Are there any possible additional charges for my laundry appliance installation?

Our laundry appliance installation prices are for a like-for-like package where for example, the dryer being replaced and the new dryer being installed are of the same type, with no change to the location, size, or increase in the energy supply to the unit. Please note that NO provisions have been made for unexpected joinery alterations, supply of valves, hoses, circuit breakers, circuits, fuses, power points, ventilation holes, or ducting. Our installer will provide you with a quote on the day, which must be approved before planning and performing any Additional Services.

Why is a timber slat required for a dryer wall installation?

We must screw the dryer mounting brackets into the wall studs to ensure that the dryer can be safely loaded and operated without falling. Unfortunately, wall studs are usually not where we need them, so we will have to screw a timber slat to the studs in the wall and hang the dryer off that. This is a requirement of all appliance manufacturers regardless of brand or model.

My previous washing machine was a top load washer and now I want a more efficient front load washing machine. Can this update be made?

You can always go from a top load washer to a front load washer without issues if you have a minimum of 595mm available width, as numerous top load washing machines have a width of around 520mm.

How long will it take for the dryer or washer to be installed?

Requirements for each appliance installation are different, your installer will be able to advise you on the day, however, as a guide an standard install will take 45-60 minutes.
